So the sun is out and has graced us with its presence, what better to do than go for a swim! We’ve put a list together on our favorite swimming spots in Dublin.

Sandycove and the Forty Foot

This is a great, popular spot for swimming. On a beautiful, sunny day the majority of south Dublin escapes to this great place. The forty foot is a brillo spot for jumping off or swimming when the tide is out. There’s always a great buzz and atmosphere in this place. Take that dart to Sanycove/ Glastule and its a 5 minute walk from the station.

White Rock, Killiney

This is a lovely, quite beach which is another brillo spot for swimming. Great place to chill with your friends on a sunny afternoon. Access the beach from either end of the parking zone by pathways and steps.

Dollymount Strand, North Bull Island

This is a deadly beach for both swimming and kitesurfing. It is a very long beach with Bull Island nature reserve in the hinterland.  Its a fun adventure making it out to this place though, th130 bus from the city centre stops in Dollymount. It’s then a 1/2 mile walk to the beach. Cycling to the beach is also possible with a dedicated cycle track close by.

This is our favorite swimming spot located 10 minutes from Dun Laoghaire. It’s a lovely, clean place to swim and they even have toilets and showers! As far as we know they have their blue flag. Its a beautiful spot even just for a nice casual stroll, if youre not brave enough to swim of course! This spot is also easily accessible by the dart, Seapoint dart station is just five minutes away.

Where’s your favorite swimming spot? Giz a clue in the comments section!
