Kilmainham Gaol
Inchicore Rd, Kilmainham,Dublin 8 01 4535984. Kilmainham Gaol was one of Irelands bigests’ gaols. Built in 1792, Many famous people in Irish history stayed here including the leaders of the 1916 Ester Rising. The prison was closed in 1924. This building gives a good insight into the life of prisons at that time.
